Strategy 1 - Blocking

Strategy 3 - Exposure

Strategy 4 - Spreading

Strategy 6 - Flexibility
In order to use your backgammon strategy, you must choose one early in the backgammon game. The best way to establish potential points is by exposure. Try to move your checker for an unoccupied point. This way you have more flexibility to establish points in your next moves, than choosing to move your checker to an occupied point. For example, an opening role of 3 and 2; by a player who has not quite grasped this backgammon strategy of flexibility will probably move his checker 13 to point 8.
